Beginning your journey in Rwanda, ascend into the ancient montane forests of the Albertine Rift to see the beautiful crater lake of Bisoke. Then track the endemic golden monkeys of Volcanoes National Park, all the while enjoying some local hospitality in the northern border town of Musanze.
Cross into Uganda for the night and spend the following morning climbing into the mists of Mgahinga to search for the mountain gorillas living in this international reserve.
